Not long ago we partially joked that President Obama’s plague-like fear of returning to the Moon is some sort of conspiracy. It makes more sense to us than staying away from the Moon completely, whether out of budget concerns, ego, or for no reason.
Now Neil Armstrong has told a Senate subcommittee reviewing NASA's new space plan, “A plan that was invisible to so many was likely contrived by a very small group in secret who persuaded the President that this was a unique opportunity to put his stamp on a new and innovative program, I believe the President was poorly advised.”
So that’s strange.
