Quotes of the Day

"I'm disappointed with him. With the friendship, sympathy and commitment we have toward Israel, we still can't accept this foot-dragging. I don't understand where Netanyahu is going or what he wants."

- French President Nicolas Sarkozy, to Israeli President Simon Peres

"And we're at a point now, where Hezbollah has far more rockets and missiles than most governments in the world, and this is obviously destabilising for the whole region and we're watching it very carefully.

- US Defense Secretary Robert Gates

"Our choice was and remains to secure all the arms of resistance that we can."

  1. The Israeli Nukes are what is destabilizing the region. Until the West addresses that, they should not talk.

  2. Typical diversion from Gates. The man was only kept around to do one thing - saber rattle. Gates is looking more and more like another run of the mill puppet, not a real player.

  3. I always try to keep Gates on my sonar.
But lately he has been rather stealth.
I still believe that the Papa Bush camp left him behind to baby sit Obama, and keep an eye on Hillary.
They both rattle the same saber, but in the end I think Gates might do a 180.
